Once upon a time...

once upon a time, at a young single adult, LDS conference, I fell in love with an asian.
John and i met in Fargo, North Dakota on April 9th, 2011. Wow, that was only like 6 weeks ago... crazy!
The first time i saw john, I thought he was 16 years old. Then I thought, No, this is an ADULT conference, he must be 18, fresh out of high school. I told myself, "Lora, you are not at this conference to meet guys, especially not younger guys, stay away from him!"... so i tried. I just hung out with my girlfriends and tried to forget about him. (John is 23 for all of you who don't know. He's just small and Asian) I just couldn't help but stare at John this whole day and then my friends and I were all having a pool party at our hotel. Of course we all wanted to invite the guys we thought were the cutest. I finally worked up the courage to go ask John.. (super enthusiastically) "HEY! do you want to come to our hotel to sit in the hot tub?!?!?!" John said (all super manly and sexy-like) "sure, let me get my stuff..." (wink!) and that's what did it! That's when I knew I WANTED him! I practically galloped to my friends. "HE SAID YES! HE SAID YES! HE SAID YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!" So John went to the store and bought a swimming suit.... haha... and then came to the hot tub, which wasn't hot at all... and it smelled kinda bad... so that's what started it all! That night, there was a dance and we were inseparable! After the dance we went to IHOP with everyone and he bought my food and gave me his jacket (:
2 days later he asked me to be his girlfriend over facebook, and a week later he asked me to marry him. a week after that he proposed officially. It's so crazy how fast everything happened. I know it shocked a lot of people... I kinda freaked out yesterday when I realized we've only known each other for 6 weeks and we're getting married in like 70 somethin days. This is by far the craziest, funnest, most spontaneous, most exciting, most overwhelming, and BEST decision I've ever made. I fall more in love with John everyday and it doesn't matter how long I've known him or how little I actually know him, as long as I know the important things. John loves me and he takes care of me. He will do anything and everything for me. He's patient, loving, understanding, forgiving, spiritual, responsible, smart and hilarious!
I couldn't have found a better person to be with forever. I'm so excited for this part of my life. It's a crazy adventure!
